We the programmers work so hard to earn money but when we place withdrawal request, it takes several days to reach the money. Sl should take whatever verification is required but complete the withdraw instantly.

That will be great, Rene. We the people truly want to work prepared to make every kinds of verification for making this procedure faster. Really sometimes i got in so much trouble for delayed withdrawal process as i have no other source of income rather than SL.

Yes that is correct although sometimes we complain that the site has this problem and that but for us overall scriptlance has been a life changer it is a platform to showcase your skills and deliver your goods we have been in touch with other sites as well but i personally rate scriptlance as the best in many cases yes it has some flaws but every other site has got same no one is perfect, i am sure in next upcoming months we will see more improvements on the site cheers for the scriptlance staff who have been working hard with us on the site.

I dont agree with you, odesk FIRST TIME checking takes 3-7 days, all the other payments are sended each week at the same hour. oDesk have a weekly schedulle for payments is another businness modele

In my case like a freelancer, they check my email and make a phone call verification.
For another level I need send a copy of my national ID/passport (with my photo and data clear), service billing (water, light or phone) with my names and address matching in both. All of these for free and only one time.
But how do they verify buyers? What you described is done by us too, but does not reduce the risk of payment reversals enough.

I think sending a little charge into the buyers credit card with a code, buyer need to put that code into the odesk process to verify his card, with it buyer is allowed to proceed.
But SL charge us $5 to keep the verified status.. :)

Rene, I hope you remember me. Earlier you posted a project in SL about "Why users are posting negative reviews about SL in other websites". I mentioend a lot of points & wrote a big message to you mentioning why it is not so popular in spite of giving us so many features, one of the best is Unlimited bidding & low cost.

People here are discussing about the withdrawal problems, every site has the same problem like this. But most important part is the customer care support. When a freelancer's money is at stake he/she fist thinks of to contact the support people. The SL Support response time is horrible. If an account is locked for any reason, nobody is going to reply him before 24 hours & after that they say "we are sorry". This is just one secnrio. May be other users might have faced more problems, I dont know. This is the main problem & the core problem of SL I think. Owrk on it & the rest of the problems will be auto-solved.

I need to agree with Deep, if support can response more fast SL will gain a lot.
I still remember a case: some "genious" block my account because in the PMB I wrote: "I live in Lima-Peru, -5 GMT..." first day SL support ask me for what I put that? for time difference second day I answer  : thats because I live in Lima capitol city of Peru and its at -5 Greenwich Meridian Time" third day my account was unblock, but I lose 2 jobs for that 3 days off... is safe that for SL?
I think if I dont respond in 48 hrs or more or my answer is not good you can block my account for further analisys or your people need to re take the geo class in the school :D
Like you can see if support check my response in the first time nothing wrong happens...

Mario, you are correct. I also faced similar issues with the support people multiple times.
Thats why today freelancer.com is much ahead of SL today inspite of SL's great features. Rene should remember that "Its better to prevent & prepare than repent & repair". Now SL is repairing [may be :) ], but I am gradually moving my business over to other sites, also my clients doing the same thing. I started here 2 years ago, now I am pissed here by the support staffs like Emily & others.

The only thing I dont like in freelancer.com is: when you win a project and for some reason buyer dissapear or not paid you, the website dont refund project fees.

In Odesk Moneybookers and Paypal payments are almost instant. They said it may take up to 2 hours. But most of the time it takes less then 15 minutes. So, I think SL need more improvements in this area.

Wouw, that's a very long long time. My withdrawal is processing, but i dont know processing for what.??? I have not received notification that my money has been sent to my paypal. AND JUST SEE THE WORDS (Processing) my balanced in SL has been reduced but no response at all from scriptlance. Scriptlance should be more professional in handling the withdrawal of money..!  That is the result of our hard work as programmer in Scriptlance.....!

Indeed, the worst part of Scriptlance is that they take, take, take, take, 5 dollars here, 10 dollars there, commission here, commission there, yet I am to wait 90 days for the chance to withdraw my hard-earned assets and frustratingly enough promised withdrawals within 3 days are not occurring, support is not to be contacted ("We are too busy processing withdrawals", apparently not my withdrawal or the withdrawal of those people who've been waiting for well over 3 days). This is very, very frustrating, especially when you count on the withdrawal being processed before the holidays, there is/was enough time, yet my withdrawal is still pending; what do I tell my family? It's Christmas Eve...


90 days... alas, it seems that Scriptlance is not investing enough of the commissions that WE ALL PAY INSTANTLY and pretty much IRREVERSIBLY, even before we write our first line of code, or open our Photoshops, and whatnot. Perhaps if you would withhold from deducting commissions from us freelancers and buyers alike until the freelancer is actually getting a withdrawal you might be as frustrated as many of us are; yet, your support is happy - they got paid this Christmas (hopefully) without delays, from the commissions that Scriptlance gets without delays, from the majority of us who work hard and depend on the reward for our effort and get excessive delays in return and unreachable support. And after having given Scriptlance a fair part of what we've "earned" (money that is stuck limbo for what it seems as eternity) we are EXPLICITLY BARRED from contacting support in order to find out the reasons for delays, I personally do not understand this.


Don't get me wrong, I'm very much in love with Scriplance, and I'm registered on many other freelance websites, but have been using Scriptlance exclusively for the past 3 months, yet never have I been so much frustrated by the withdrawal process, it's just not up to par and right now I wish I'd had directed my customers to Freelance.com, where commissions are slightly higher, yes, but payment are processed twice a week, always on time in dozens of currencies, and more importantly I'm able to speak to Live support and there's someone there to answer every time.


I may not understand the full scope of the issue as it is viewed internally by Scriptlance; I may not know of all the problems that Scriptlance may be facing processing payments, withdrawals and deposits. But looking at how you've setup such magnificent environment for sellers and buyers, with so many excellent features and opportunities I simply REFUSE TO BELIEVE that you are unable to resolve our frustration AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, starting with removing the utterly OFFENSIVE, INSULTING, DISRISPECTFUL and SNOBBISH "Please do not contact us to ask when your withdrawal will be processed, we are very busy verifying and approving withdrawals."


We are people, people who earn the money, expect the money and are frustrated when the money is sort of earned, but is far from accessible, and are not allowed to make inquiries after the promised 3 business day delay (+90 days for first-timers) has been surpassed. Seriously? Whereas I understand the 3 days delay, am somewhat ready to understand the 90 days delay for the first time, and am fully ready to pay every single cent in commissions without making any fuss over it, I am NOT ready to understand the degenerated withdrawal process after all the conditions have been met from our side (90 days delay + verfication + 3 days delay + all commissions paid). I'm not asking for instant withdrawals, I'm asking for you to keep your word on the allotted delays and to provide unlimited support service to those of us who are eagerly waiting for withdrawals.


We are tightly interlocked in an ecosystem where we are unfairly treated: you take what is yours INSTANTLY from us, the same cannot even be CLOSELY applied to us (FAR FROM!). As someone in this thread or another one around here said - we are as important as the buyers, we are the foundation of your business, without us - no buyers, without both - no commissions, without commissions no Scriptlance.


May this upcoming year yield an all-round improvement for Scriptlance, especially the withdrawal system and the support environment. God bless you all.

There are too many complaints against ScriptLance for delaying withdrawal requests. In fact I too had a request processed on 8th business day during this December. But here I like to share my experience that I had yesterday when my withdrawal request was processed within 10 mins... !! I could not believe my eyes and had to log into my Moneybookers account to verify that the funds have actually been transferred. I hope this is a positive change and all future withdrawals will be processed quickly and without any delays.

This message ends my 9th day waiting... how much longer ScriptLance, Rene? The withdrawal has not even begun being processed and with 2 days left before banks close I'm afraid my family and I will be having one sad New Year thanks to the FRUSTRATING DELAYS! I really hope that Payoneer offers me the Instant Load option once you send the payment like they do with Freelancer.com, otherwise it'll take them an extra 2-3 days to load the money...

About instant load with payoneer that option is available for scriptlance too i guess i have been using it as soon as scriptlance process payment the card is loaded within 2 hours but they charge $4 on each load i was given an option to select instant load or free load which takes about 2-3 days maybe you can chat with payoneer support or call them and get this feature its worth it

About scriptlance i guess the withdrawal system needs to be improved i agree with you

I am really sorry to note this delay with your withdrawal Gannedy and can understand the frustration this is causing you. The withdrawals and support systems at ScriptLance really need some serious make over. I hope Rene and his team find a solution to these issues before it is too late.
10 days delay, withdrawal is still in my account, not being processed, balance is still full. Support was kind enough to answer 2 days ago which is good (thank you Veronica) telling me that I'll receive my withdrawal before New Year's Eve, and that they forwarded my request to their billing department (weren't they supposed to do that 10 days ago when I issued my withdrawal request?) anyways, keeping my fingers crossed, I've been using SL exclusively for the past 3 months so 99% of my income has been locked inside; I'll be seriously regretting not having stuck with Freelancer.com for the past 3 months, at least may family and I'd surely have had a decent New Year's Eve dinner; with ScriptLance I can't know... and it's not their problem I'm in this inconvenient situation in the end; I started using them, it was my choice, a choice that I'm starting to regret.

Are You and your Support Staff already enjoying your holidays off on our paid commissions and forgot all about those who have been waiting for a withdrawal? Seriously!? What the heck are you waiting for? You had YOUR 90 days wait, YOU received my verification documents (I supplied even more than you asked for, without covering anything up), YOU have my commissions paid to you, YOU had your 11 days "leisuring" about, but I don't have MY hard-earned money for the holidays... this is getting frustrating by the hour. Thats a very BAD situation my friend, I cant believe that.. and I dont understand why a new freelancer need to wait 90 days for first payment? whats security risk? I think SL need to check the payment source and not the freelancer he receipt the paid!! the risk I think is when SL receipt a payment and need to check it no when SL move that amount from SL to dev account...anyways in 90 days SL have enough time to check all your docs and make test.
I cant understand with all the fees charged here SL dont hire more personal for this end of year holidays time, because is very logical ALL the freelancer wants his money.
And SL charge the same than others freelancers site 10% (5% dev 5% buyer), freelancer.com process the payment twice a week now and have I think more projects than SL, his support is very good..
If SL dont improve his payment process many of us will need to move to other sites. Buyers can move his projects too because the dev recommended others sites...
I expected then you can collect your money before end of the year.

Every freelancing site has its own pros and cons...
Freelancer.com for instance have a strict policy of not refunding a project fee if the project is cancelled.. I quit working there after they charged me $18 for a project which was deleted immediately after my bid was selected. If a project is not according to their terms and conditions..a freelancer is not supposed to take part in that .. but the site has no problem earning from that same project.. what an irony..:)

P.S. Note that I have successfully withdrawn some remaining 10 USD from my Freelance.com account earlier this week (Sunday-Monday) to my same Payoneer card without a single problem... less than 24 hours, and they don't have the 5USD for more than once a month withdrawal by the way. Just saying...

And YES! Just received notification from Payoneer and it gave me the opportunity to Load Immediately for an extra $4 (I was afraid it wouldn't be possible). Thank you ScriptLance. This was one hell of a ride, 11 days on the edge of my seat... wow... anyways, thanks a lot for making it happen before New Year, I really much appreciate it.

Please send out withdrawals to everyone else waiting before New Year, to many of us ScriptLance is the only means of survival, and it'd be a pity if somewhere someone's children are waiting for presents for the Holidays. MAKE IT HAPPEN ScriptLance; that's my wish!

Wouw ... you are a programmer of the most fortunate in SL..
Maybe SL can imitate the way of freelancer(dot)com for the withdrawal of money. Withdrawals can be determined by a certain day, maybe Monday and Thursday. This should be done if SL don't want to add employees in the withdrawal of money.. Or at least, SL could state the day what the money will be sent..
Hope this can help "Rene" to solve this problem..

I had a 11 business days delay on December and response i got from support team was that they have a large amount of witdrawal to process..... I can understand a delaying problem, we all have issues from time to time, i don't complain, but this is recurring....when i had a delay problem with a project here i got a 1 calification and my average went to the basement and i have to explain almost every contractor what happened. Nothing happens to SL with this delays, i really think you have to improve your approval method, i really think you have to keep your word. 
I was filling a ticket just now complaining that my withdrawal goes by day 4 and no news and i see a NOTICE down there telling that process can take up to a week, so if i fill the ticket might cause more delays..... so you SL say 2 different things, is not fair or good for your company image.
You get comissions for every job i win, you charge an extra amount if i ask for more than 1 withdrawal a month, please i really like this site.

I agree.. The other disadvantage of of these delays in processing of withdrawals is the 30 days free withdrawal period will be pushed ahead and the programmer will have to either wait for longer or pay $5 fee if they are to make another withdrawal before 30 days are passed. When ScriptLance introduced $5 fee for any additional withdrawal during 1 month, we were told this measure is to accelerate the withdrawal process.. Now we usually have delays and we are also paying the $5 fee.. As a temporary measure SL should consider to waive the $5 fee for withdrawals which are not processed within 2-3 days and should give 1 free withdrawal (within 30 days) if a withdrawal id delayed for more than 5 days.

Excellent idea Muhammad!! I agree with you, here in SL Devs we have all the ways to lose and SL all to win, to be equal SL needs to paid for his errors. Everybody knows at the end of the year ALL operations will increase his traffic, so SL need to take some actions to avoid the problems,for example hire more people, etc but we can see SL dont do nothing or not enough.
This forum is a blessing because before all the cases were individuals, now all we can see the size of the problem.
Personally Im trying to work in the others freelancers sites until SL works fine again.

I have 242 reviews and counting.. Have been working on ScriptLance for almost 3 years now, have earned and withdrawn tens of thousand of dollars. I never felt anything like ScriptLance are going to ban my account and take all my money. Yes there have been delays in withdrawals and the support needs some good make over. When I see somebody telling me things like ScriptLance are scam I know they are not correct, at least that is what my experience with this site tells me.

Md Siddik if you are happy working at ODESK, that is good for you, similarly there are people working with ScriptLance and they are happy there. So there is no need to tell anybody what they are supposed to do.

Mr Siddik, Your comment is totally offensive. I never heard Scriptlance banning account without any reason. For new accounts obviously they have set cooling period, but it does not mean that they have gone away with your money.
Yes, Scriptlance has problem with withdrawals time and sometimes with un-verified payments. But they are not scam.
Scriptlance is a nice place to work. And for Odesk, there is no guarantee that you will be paid for fixed price projects. So, who is doing more scams? Better you be with odesk.

Im one of the first programmers to register back in 2001 on scriptlance, yes there were and there are withdrawals delays, some times can be frustrating, but telling scriptlance is an scam, is just absurd.

I just get a reply "We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you due to this issue. We have forwarded this issue to our billing department on priority basis and they will process your withdrawal at the earliest. "

I'm afraid that you are right, yesterday the money was deducted from my account INCLUDING THE EXTRA 5USD, but payment has not been received by Payoneer yet; last time payment was received in 10 minutes after they deducted it from my account, so now my money is gone. Opening support ticket, because this is unacceptable then, it doesn't even say that I have pending withdrawals!

Just received my payment notification into Payoneer. Total turnover time EXACTLY 72 hours, (48 hours processing in SL + 24 hours processing somewhere in between SL and Payonner). So for the extra 5 USD fee they did make it a point to get me my money within 3 business days or I just got plain lucky... am keeping an eye on this thread every day waiting for answers from Rene or staff.

I really want to see the status of this feedback. from "UNDER REVIEW" to "COMPLETED" .. Please grant our request Rene.. I'm sure you can find many ways to solve this problem......,

Well again the same thing, a little $120 withdrawal have today 5 business days... this paid need to be release on friday today nothing... GAF and oDesk manage the proccess  very well, 2 times per week and the other 1 time, I think SL can do the same: 2 times per week and process in a batch all to avoid this kind of problems.
All my payments have 200 score and buyers with more than 20 reviews..so I think its not a fraud.
This reason pushing me to move my work to the others freelancers sites..

Wow, Mr. Rene Trescases, please have the decency to at least provide a real update, I see that 4 minutes ago you have updated the status report not sure what you added there, but with no concrete solutions or comments and sickeningly long withdrawal delays we need to know what's going on. Well I think SL have enough time, because now I can see a NEW BIG option to sell products.. I think before to start new things SL need to fix his actual problems.
I think the long period to to withdrawals is they need more people, because the entire process is manual so? why they dont hire more people?? before to invest in develop new things? well new things add more money into the pocket I guess..

Now pass 7 days!!  and my withdrawal is still not proccessed.... amen I have a month ticket open with no solution, this is the way SL make businness? Im moving my jobs to other freelancer site until SL fix his problems.

I've requested a withdrawal today, let's see how it goes. But judging by how things have been going I don't expect much.
And 9 days ago SL launched CONTESTS, another HUGE option, but they still cannot take care of these withdrawals, how unprofessional.

Yes They created Contest for Earning more and they will do what you say if they see that they have a huge profit ..
They only see there profit not our also ..
That's why i stopped doing freelancing here ...

and scriptlance and rene if you have shame They do the withdraw instant or 3 days as it says in the withdraw page ..

I very much agree with you. I feels very tired of waiting on scriptlance withdrawal system could be more advanced. And now I think it is impossible. Now I prefer to work on other freelancer websites. I do not know why scriptlance can not solve this problem and even added features contests which is unnecessary.
But you need to remember it scriptlance, you can probably get a lot of "buyers" but you'll lose a lot of "Programmer" because of this issue.
GUYS! YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS, but my Payoneer withdrawal has been processed in less than 24 hours!... have we been heard? Or am I seriously lucky. It wasn't very large and I didn't pay $5 since I paid it last time, so this time it was free, but less than 24 hours. My post above says 18 hours ago, that's when I requested the withdrawal!

I also requested a payment and its close to three days. After reading this discussion, I am a little worried. Though the verification process went through in a couple of hours so I was hoping to get paid soon. But seems like they are not as fast in processing payments.

Now my account is suspended and I can not get anything. I think I made a mistake by writing a few words infuriated scriptlance. But I think it's worth I feel angry because of scriptlance service was very slow. A few days ago I almost gave a bad rating to one of my buyer. Due to SL was very slow to enter and deposit into a client account, So the payment was very very late to me. And this incident I experienced was 3 times. And now what.? My account is suspended and there has been no response from support to help me again.
I do not know what is currently considered by scriptlance team. However, no definitive answer in solving this problem. Very bad at all for at scriptlance website can not handle problems like this.

Scriptlance really has made me very disappointed..... :'(

Well, I had my past 2 withdrawals processed on day 4. So I hope things are getting better.
Well I have 4 days, yesterday the withdraw need to be processed but nothing.. I dont know if saturday SL people works so maybe next monday, last time they take 9 days to process....

I requested withdrawal on  02-May-2012 which was processed on  21-May-2012  but still I did not get any penny in my account and no one is responding on helpdesk :(


My reqest 207756 is on hold from last 35 days ...  I requested $5719 through bank wire but did not get any penny and any satisfactory answer from Scriptlance. Many times requested Rene to help me out but no one answering. Can you believe all this?

Today I got a positive response from SL, I hope issue would get resolved shortly.
I have got funds back in my account, Thank's GOD but Scriptlance has deducted $95 :( 
Anyone knows about any reason/rule for this $95 deduction. I've made a request on Helpdesk and waiting for reply from 5 days ... What improvements SL has made?
I am really surprised and also concerned knowing all this.. $5719 is a big amount BTW. It is better practice to withdraw in small amounts to avoid such situations specially as long as ScriptLance admin are not willing to improve their withdrawals processing and support. Also somebody from ScriptLance  should explain reason for the $95 deduction and also advise what the user in question should do to withdraw their money.
For 1st time withdrawal it is acceptable if scriptlance need 3 days to check and verify the account but after that there is no need for scriptlance to verify the account. Other user cannot login into other user account coz scriptlance login system will log them out if they do that so only legitimate account holder can make withdrawal request. This is one area scriptlance is behind compare to others. Please wake up !!!
My withdrawal is pending more than 4  days but helpdesk nor billing still not able to resolve this.Helpdesk response they will process asap in the next batch process but until now I did not get my withdrawal. I hope renee will read this and expedite my withdrawal request.
