Don't allow bids lower than minimum project budget

It's already the case...but you have to report them to SL thru the small icon at the right side "Bid Violation" by reporting them as "fake bid"....but you are right....why just not implemet this validation in the bidding process...

1)If A new programmer Bid Within his Budget $100-$200
Think new programmer bids For $100
2)A High Rated programmer also Bid For $100
So Who will get the project Un rated one or The Person who have A Lot Review
Must A Review programmer willl get the project
So Where will the New programmer go ?
How Will ge Get job
if he Dont Bid lower


But Anyone Can report Scriptlance as A Fake bid if its Fakebid

I'm not agree with you,

1) If no one bid lower project budget, bids will become more real, For example when progect budget is $100-$300 and a new programmer (with no review) bid $100, a programmer with good reviews never will place the same bid! In this case the buyer have choose to select new programmer with minimum bid or a reviewed programmer with higher bid

2) In most times the programmer who placed a bid under minimum project budget, can't complete the project, he only placed a bid to get the work, this way many buyers will leave Scriptlance with a bad experience and we all will lost a buyer

3)New programmers will always have chance to get their first work, if they have really talent

Dear this industry will not go on emotions... it requires work and telent.. so be real and mature. This is not related with (new or old ) and rated or unrated programmer. There are may programmers who have more reviews on some freelancing sites and at the same time they don't have any reviews on another freelancing site. So just seeing a single site, it is not judge-able. If new programmer has talent and convincing power, he will deffinitely get work.

I'm sure there are better ways for newcomers to get a job than just a dumping. As they have more time than busy high rated developers, they can get more into project specification and negotiations, providing their ideas and corrections to the buyer and thus displaying their interest and understanding.

It's an interesting idea, not allowing bids below the project minimum budget (only when a min is set). But aren't there cases where valid bids could be placed below the minimum budget? Isn't it fair to allow freelancers to bid as low as they want?

What if a logo design project has a minimum budget of $100? Shouldn't a freelancer be allowed to bid $50? Buyers are not always good at determining max cost of project. Are they any better at determining min cost?

I believe nothing stops the freelancer from contacting such a buyer via PMB to say he/she usually does this kind of job for less so that buyer can change the minimum budget and allow the freelancer to bid lower.

I'm agree with ts2001, But if it's not possible to implement this feature at least avoid choosing min budget! Let buyers to choose only maximum budget!!

Things like this seem unnecessary fuss us longer..
Let's just say it's a budget that came out as a picture of how much the funds are owned by the buyers and if you feel you can do the job at a price below the budget, so why not.?
And not all buyers will choose the programmers with a low budget, a lot of buyers also choose a programmer because his ratings and feedback and not solely because of low budget.
Is not it exciting if we regard this as a competition.? Right.? :)

Completely agree.  I once got into a discussion with a programmer about why they worked for such a low amount of money, and it turned out their 1 day assignment, paid them what they'd make in 4 days on a job.  My cost of living was far different than theirs, so yes, my $100 estimate for a 1 day project, and their $25 bid ended up being the same amount of work, just different cost.

But I post projects all the time and get professional bidders who bid below the budget price.  Why would you not allow me to accept those bids?
