Freelancers should be able to leave feedback on a possible employer / buyer from communication. For example, a buyer that is rude and clearly states that they are looking to outsource their articles to people who don't know their worth.

I am new to the site and bid on some projects. I am not new to freelance writing however. I got an email that was rude from a potential employer and I responded with honesty that paying people $1.66 or less per 500+ word article is asking writers to sell themselves short. I got three emails after that stating that they were here to outsource work to people who did not know their worth and that this site is for exactly that. They stated that since I am from the USA maybe I shouldn't be here. I'm a freelancer not an outsourcer. If that is what this site is then maybe call it something else. I think it would be helpful to leave negative feedback on people who are rude and trying to take advantage of other people. Or put a minimum wage to certain types of work and then bid from there, no matter where you live. Plus people are so unclear about what they are looking for. As a new user on this site I have been placing bids under what I know I am worth but no way am I going to write 300 articles for a $1 each.

Downloadable Scriptlance Business Card Service For Freelancers

Anjan Phukan 13 jaar geleden bijgewerkt 13 jaar geleden 1
Scriptlance should start a free or one time paid service for freelancers (even for the buyers) through which one can get a Scriptlance business card in his/her name. The person will input his details like name. profession etc. Scriptlance can hire someone to design a generic business card with their identity and put those user inputted data on the card and send the soft copy to the persons email id on payment received.

I think it will be a great idea and from which both parties will get benefit. A freelancer will be able to get a verified identity and Scriptlance will get more popularity in remote areas. Scriptlance can set some criteria that should be fulfilled like the person should have n numbers of project/feedbacks or he/she must be a verified member of Scriptlance etc.

Don't you thing we must get a business card with Scriptlance verification on it?

Confirmation of giving you $5 needed AFTER I have OK'd it at PayPal? Seriously? Why not accept it and grin? :_}

Greg Hope 12 jaar geleden 0
Acceptance of money from us for you would be useful if it werent such a long process. Eg, I want to give you $5 so I can post a job I want done but seriously, it took about 30 minutes and all I got was a bit older, $5 poorer and a real lot more frustrated with what should have been an easy process. Simplifying it may attract more users and freelancers. We only have so many minutes in our life after all! ;-}

Mss you scriptlance, it is sad, i never liked freelancer :( Now they force changed our username that we used for years. Give us our usernames back

BizHat com 12 jaar geleden 0
Many of our customers know us by the scriptlance user name. After freelance taking over scriptlance, our user names changed to "username+sl", i don't like this ugly user name. Please give us the original user name.

scriptlance auto delete of files not necessary...

Vinu Devarajan 13 jaar geleden bijgewerkt 13 jaar geleden 0

Hi,

i lost 2 projects because of scriptlance auto delete of files feature :( check out the recent two projects that i lost bid, i trusted SL file share feature and uploaded mock-ups there, but the buyer was not even able to see them due to the auto delete feature of SL... we designers work hard and post mock-ups, but your auto delete system simply spoils everything... i suggest this feature is not necessary at all... you have alloted some space (say 100mb) and let us ourself handle the files to be kept / deleted in the file share if its get full... thats way to better, than your auto delete feature...

please do this change, its a must, its strongly the need of the hour...

waiting for a positive response soon...

thank you,

More user friendly staff and quicker resolutions

shankar ram 12 jaar geleden 0
Hi,
In my personal opinion the staff here respond too slow and take too long to resolve things that should be simple enough. I have been here for a long time and this is one of the few things that disappoint me.

For example, now I have a project with funds sitting in escrow and the buyer posts that he is satisfied, marks the project as completed but does not complete payment.
What I would expect:
1)Staff verify work and PMB
2)try contacting buyer
3)after 3-7 days or a reasonable time for a response release the escrow.

What actually happened:
1)Staff send buyer email, no response
2)asked to wait 7 days
3)ask again for status after 10 days
3)Staff email buyer again and ask to wait for 72 hours,
4)ask for status after 5 days
5)Staff suspend buyer
6)Ask for release of escrow
7)Staff say the escrow will be held for 6 MONTHS before they release it for SECURITY reasons [the payment had a score of 350-excellent].
8)I have just asked WHY the cash should be held for 6 months and what is the use of escrow if we are going to have a hassle with the escrow provider leave alone the buyer.

This is not a lone incident and there are several cases where a simple resolution like a forum account not working take over 6 months.

Why are you complicating the process when you actually need to simplify it? This only increases the work in having back and forth conversations and long ques of unresolved issues.

And Rene, you advertise $500,000/Month in billings which if true means you make around $25,000/month in commisions. I am sure after the infrastructure and maintainance you still make good profits, wouldn't it be worth to look into these key issues like quicker withdrawals, quicker resolutions by maybe hiring or automating processes which are sure to bring much more work and revenue?

Filter when finding Project

Jacked Sparrow 13 jaar geleden bijgewerkt 13 jaar geleden 0
Add feature when Programmer browse Project..
Filter Cancelled, Closed, Open project..

It's annoying when I see multiple similar Project, with all Canceled status..

Or maybe, simply just remove Cancelled project..

Feedback Tickets

marleen mary 13 jaar geleden 0
The feedback posted by the Scriptlance user should be recorded as Ticket ID with userwise, so that in future the concerned person can see his/her all tickets raised (no. of tickets raised) and their solutions solved.  It would be much easier to search all the tickets by userwise.
